Robert Half Account Coordinator in Providence, Rhode Island

Description We are offering a short-term contract employment opportunity for a Supply Chain Specialist in Providence, Rhode Island. This role is centered around managing customer accounts to ensure accurate order processing and involves close collaboration with various teams and departments. The industry in focus is retail distribution, specifically through E-commerce channels, with an emphasis on inventory management, product assortment, and customer program execution.

Responsibilities:

• Manage customer accounts for accurate processing of both retail distribution and E-commerce orders

• Collaborate closely with the Inventory Strategist to manage out of stock items

• Understand and manage the product assortment offered to retail customers

• Submit new item forms to various account platforms/portals

• Engage with Sales, Product Development, and China teams to gather necessary information to verify item specifications for cataloging on trade websites

• Investigate and resolve order issues including item specifications, pricing, replenishment needs, delivery dates, and customer compliance

• Create orders in our ERP to manage any disputes

• Collaborate with all members of the Operations team to support team and company goals

• Communicate effectively with co-workers and trade contacts to research problems and find solutions

• Initiate processes for increased efficiencies to expand the Operations team’s capacities

• Utilize skills in Microsoft Excel, Customer Service, and Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) Requirements • Proven experience in the role of a Supply Chain Specialist or similar capacity

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Dynamics CRM

• Strong background in customer service

• Knowledge and experience in EDI - Electronic Data Interchange

• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Familiarity with supply chain processes and inventory management systems

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, or related field is preferred.
