The Accounting Specialist is responsible for performing various accounting, bookkeeping, and financial duties related to fiscal services. This includes keeping financial data updated on a daily basis; processing expense vouchers and receipts; purchasing; processing client related expenses; posting entries; processing payroll, A/P and/or A/R invoicing; managing the processing of vendor payments; and maintaining related systems and vendor relationships.
The candidate should have the following:
Ability to work independently and self-manage daily tasks and time requirements
Excellent math skills with ability to calculate figures
Ability to prioritize and complete work on an established schedule
Ability to use office equipment such as fax machines, copiers and printers
Strong attention to detail with accuracy and completeness while working with detailed information and data
Experience with computer software programs and/or other digital applications
Team player who can collaborate well with co-workers
Minimum of Associates Degree or 2 years of non-profit bookkeeping experience
Strong administrative and organizational skills
Must be able to communicate effectively, both orally and through correct written grammar
Bilingual a plus
