What You Will Do
The Instructional Designer (ID) II will analyze learning outcomes and collaborate with stakeholders and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) globally to design and develop learning solutions that align with business requirements. The ID, as part of the India L&D team, will work with colleagues in the internal team and the L&D teams globally to gather/create content, design, and develop Instructional Design deliverables for appropriate learning modalities and styles. They will be responsible for working as one team with other IDs, Learning Experience Designers (LXDs), L&D Managers, and cross-functional team members.
The ID will apply Instructional Design theories and practices to design and develop learning solutions, use standard writing styles to make content easy to understand for the target audience and produce well-written audio/video scripts for high-quality course assets.
To be successful in this role, the ID will need to understand the business goals, collaborate with stakeholders, and ask the right questions. The ID is expected to be dependable and trusted by the business partners across JCI teams.
How You Will Do It
Create compelling and engaging content based on the stakeholder requirements.
Design and develop Instructional Design documents, storyboards, mockups, and prototypes for learning solutions.
Use appropriate writing styles to make content easy to understand for the target audience.
Adhere to training development guidelines and formats to create quality training deliverables for required learning modalities.
What We Look For
Qualification and Experience
Graduate or PG from a recognized university
Preferable certificate course relevant to Instructional Design/Mass Communication/Technical Writing
6-10 years of experience in Instructional Design in a media/e-Learning industry
Experience in needs analysis, design, content development, review, and signoff
At least 1-2 years of experience in stakeholder communication
Skills & Competencies
Excellent understanding of Instructional Design principles and methodologies (ADDIE/Bloom’s taxonomy, Gagne’s model, etc.)
Sound knowledge of the Instructional Design process (including learning needs analysis)
Skills in visual & textual storyboarding
Preferred knowledge & skills in Articulate 360 and Adobe Captivate
Excellent communication and articulation skills
Learning industry knowledge and business acumen
Behaviour exhibiting competencies such as customer orientation, collaboration, managing work, execution discipline, digital acumen, and adaptability
