Job Description:

The IFS department is responsible for the financial reporting systems and processes that support total company reporting. This position helps to ensure that the Company’s general ledger and financial reporting tools are reliable, accessible, and stable, that structures appropriately reflect business requirements, and that controls are in place to support the end-to-end process for all IFS applications.

The incumbent will be part of the Financial / Treasury Processes team working on projects involving new or existing applications and processes. Their primary responsibility is to ensure system solutions and related processes support overall company objectives and ensure the integrity and quality of financial data. This involves vendor/in-house application deployment, enhancements, steady state support, troubleshooting problems, identifying opportunities for increased effectiveness or efficiency in Financial and Treasury processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Support

This role provides Business Analysis support by working with the end users to define and refine requirements, support functional and integration testing, training, implementation and end user roll out. This involves actively working with the IS development team to explain and clarify business requirements and rationale in order to help create solutions that would meet business needs.

As a business support, the incumbent will be expected to interact professionally with clients and business areas to provide a high quality of service. This includes effectively communicating with all levels of management to provide reports for project status and to make them aware of critical issues requiring their attention.

Application Development and Maintenance

The role provides steady state maintenance and enhancement of existing production tools / processes. The IFS Business Support team responds to requests for: security access, GL and data mart structure changes, reports and extracts, accounting feed support, audit/SOX support, production status information, and “Just-In-Time” training and job aids.

Financial System Analysis and Control

Analyst is responsible for ongoing operations which will require maintaining a controlled, reliable, accessible and stable financial reporting environment, proactively resolving issues by consulting various stakeholders.

This role also involves data reconciliation by preparation of daily control reports that checks the integrity of the financial data within the system. Analyst should ensure that any issues or discrepancies identified, either by internal control measures or by end-users, should be tracked, reported, and resolved in a timely manner.

Project Management

Manages small to medium initiatives (as required) according to the established project management methodologies. Creates and maintains thorough and accurate project documentation (including functional and technical design specifications) according to the project management methodologies. Coordinates testing by preparing required test plans/matrices and executing functional and system integration testing of the application

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of any business degree or equivalent business experience

  • Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in business analysis/project management function within finance area

  • Hybrid Work Arrangement: Amenability and readiness to work onsite and from home anytime (dependent on business need AND/OR current external environment/situation)

Minimum Skills to Hire/Must Haves:

  • Good understanding of ledger systems, good accounting knowledge and sensitive to the reporting cycle

  • Advanced knowledge of Excel (pivot tables, functions, etc.) and data marts)

  • Exceptional analytical, diagnostic and problem-solving skills
