QPS Employment Group has a great Linen Assistant position available at a company in Quincy, IL. This is a 1st shift position with the opportunity for hire.
Linen Assistant Responsibilities include but are not limited to:\ - Sort soiled lines as it comes into plant and place into proper areas.\ - Unload clean laundry from dryer.\ - Feed clean laundry into the press machine.\ - Spray the carts with disinfectant and wipe down carts with a towel.\ - Take material from basket and shake out creases. Position semi-dry flatwork on a table for feeding into machine. Lay articles on feeder ribbons that convey it into machines. Smooth and guide articles by hand during ironing process to prevent folds and wrinkles.\ - Fold flatwork and/ or tumble work pieces discharged from machine and place in baskets on carts or conveyor belts.\ - Finishes shirts by operating four presses, such as the sleever, collar-cuff press, and body presses as required.\ - Finishes perm-press articles that are dried on hangers, placed on a conveyor, and passes through a steam conditioner to remove any wrinkles and set finish.
