Please review the following job description:

Manage mortgage loan production, pricing and vendor subscription data and repositories for pricing analytics and market intelligence function.

Create and maintain data repositories, reporting, dashboards, presentations and business metrics to support mortgage production channels business review routines.

Serve as a subject matter expert to mortgage production channels for questions about loan production, mortgage loan pricing, and vendor subscriptions data.

Conduct descriptive and predictive analytics, develop competitive intelligence insights, create market share analysis, and perform ad-hoc deep dive analytical studies to support mortgage production channel business objectives.

Participate in special projects and cross-functional teams to advance organizational initiatives.

This position requires experience in and/or strong understanding of Mortgage and/or Consumer Lending (Home Equity preferred).

Works with Mortgage areas and supports cross functional departments to provide reports, dashboards and analytics platforms.

Proficient in leveraging data wrangling techniques to use data from multiple sources to provide analytical hypothesis, prototype solutions and BI solutions that drive crucial business decisions. Also, creates key performance indicators and insightful visualizations to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of business managers as well as ensure we are adhering to regulatory guidelines. Provides oversight and mentorship for Junior BI developers and BI analysts.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Leverage BI tools and other applications to design, develop, automate, standardize and maintain critical metrics, analysis, visualizations, dashboards, scorecards, custom complex reports and ad hoc reports.

  2. Dive in to data from multiple internal and external sources and data structures to reveal trends, define KPIs, analyzes performance and Variance analysis.

  3. Collaborate with and support various business groups to gather complex and unique requirements. Conduct review meetings, analyze the requirements gathered and decision BI solutions.

4 Recognize and adopt best practices in reporting and analysis, data integrity, test design, validation and documentation.

  1. Educate and train internal clients to use the analytical tools to run and export their automated reports if needed for further analysis.

  2. Coach, mentor and guide teammates, junior employees and analysts as needed

  3. Maintain current knowledge of latest updates including adaption skills to new evolving technologies

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and training with Eight or more years of cumulative experience in Mortgage, Finance, Technology or related fields

  2. Experience working directly with business users and gathering requirements

  3. Experience working with business intelligence tools such as MicroStrategy, Tableau, SAS, etc.

  4. Requires adaptation skills to new evolving technologies.

  5. Experience working with SAS/SQL querying tools.

  6. Strong Analytical and problem solving skills.

  7. Should be able to coach, guide and mentor team members if needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Master's degree or higher in relevant field

  2. Strong verbal/written communication skills to communicate with business and technical teams

  3. Experience working with cross functional teams.

  4. Experience working with multiple data sources and data structures

  5. Comfortable working with large datasets and numbers

  6. Working knowledge of the banking or mortgage industry.
