Maintenance Technician: This role will be vital to ensuring the safe and
efficient operation of
the facility by performing routine maintenance, inspection, and repairs.
Reporting to the
Facilities Manager, this role supports the daily operations of office
and manufacturing spaces,
maintaining equipment, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and
minimizing downtime
through preventative maintenance efforts.
Reporting to the Production Manager
Status: Non-exempt/ Hourly
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7am to 4pm
On-site: Raymond, ME 04071
Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform routine maintenance tasks, including inspecting, repairing, and
troubleshooting facility
systems such as plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and general mechanical
systems.
Conduct regular inspections of both interior and exterior spaces,
including offices, production areas,
parking lots, and storage facilities, to ensure safety and operational
efficiency
Assist in implementing and following preventative maintenance schedules
to minimize equipment
downtime and extended lifespan of company assets.
Collaborate with the Facilities Manager to identify, prioritize, and
resolve maintenance needs,
including emergency repairs, while minimizing disruptions to daily
operations.
Support compliance with safety standards, including addressing potential
hazards and ensuring
adherence to company and regulatory guidelines.
Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, inspections, and
repairs to ensure accuracy and
regulatory compliance.
Monitor inventory levels of tools and supplies, requesting replacements
or restocking as needed.
Assist in overseeing and coordinating with external vendors and
contractors to ensure timely and
quality service.
Support energy efficient initiatives by identifying opportunities for
operational improvements.
Perform other duties as requested by the Facilities Manager.
Required Experience:
5+ years of hands-on experience in building maintenance or related trade
(eg, HVAC, plumbing, or
electrical work)
Advanced mechanical aptitude and the ability to diagnose and repair
building systems.
Proficiency with repair tools and techniques.
Ability to solve problems and apply contingency plans when needed.
Basic computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office (Excel
and Word)
Effective written and verbal communication skills in English
Effective English written and verbal communication

Experience working both independently and as part of a team.
Analytical with strong problem-solving abilities and project management
experience
Demonstrated ability to build positive relationships and communicate
effectively with vendors,
contractors and internal stakeholders.
Commitment to maintaining a customer-oriented approach
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. frequently.
Must be able to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or
balance, and to stoop, kneel and
crouch frequently.
Comfortable working at heights using ladders, manlifts, and scissor
lifts.
