About the Opportunity

We are currently seeking to identify a talented Commissioning Team Leader for an immediate mobilisation to one of our Projects. The Project is in support of the AWE.

The role:

The Commissioning Team Leader will be responsible for the successful delivery of the Commissioning (People Plant & Procedures) of a large Project from the detail design phase through to handover to the client at the end of Inactive Commissioning.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Ensure Safety is the highest priority on the project with a continued strive towards Zero Harm. They ensure that they are a role model for all aspects of safety, ensuring a proactive approach to nuclear, radiological, conventional, and environmental safety.

  • Ensure all commissioning arrangements are in place and conform to Site License conditions through IPC and ISC.

  • Manage execution of the arrangements for controlling, witnessing, recording, and assessing the results of commissioning tests for both IPC and ISC ensuring that all commissioning activities are recorded and managed via the project completions management system.

  • Planning, coordinating, and directing and Reporting on the System Commissioning activities.

  • Oversee and approve the writing of test plans and commissioning test documents and technical documents communicating System Commissioning and Asset Management plans, guidance, and instructions.

  • Responsible for the development and approval of System Commissioning Plan and methodologies; provide review and coordination of Contractor submittals ensuring that input to other project processes are incorporated, for example, design, HAZOP, risk, contract, estimating and knowledge management.

  • Ensure all commissioning resource meets the project SQEP requirements.

This position will develop plans and manage tasks within the System Commissioning scope of work, which will be further detailed in the Plant test schedule, system Commissioning Plan and the System Acceptance Plan.

Here’s what you’ll need :

  • 10 years commissioning experience, with experience in a similar managerial role for either the nuclear industry or another highly regulated industry

  • Experience with completions management systems

  • Preferred HNC/HND in Engineering related subject

  • Project management knowledge, preferably APM member.

  • Either a current security clearance at SC level or the ability to secure SC Clearance
