Job Purpose

The EnerSys Food Services Manager is directly responsible for implementing and following the culinary standards and overseeing the culinary operations of the EnerSys Corporate headquarters cafeterias. This position is responsible for supervising all kitchen functions including purchasing goods, food preparation, inventory, maintenance of quality standards, sanitation, and cleanliness, and managing the culinary team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Develop and execute diverse and innovative menu concepts and recipes that align with the company's employee wellness initiatives. Ensure consistency and high quality across all locations. Design seasonal and themed menus that cater to diverse customer preferences and dietary requirements. Stay current with culinary trends and incorporate them into menu offerings. Recruit, train, and mentor kitchen staff. Foster a positive and productive work environment. Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback. Manage kitchen operations including inventory control, budgeting, and cost management. Ensure adherence to food safety standards and maintain high cleanliness and sanitation levels. Build and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors. Negotiate contracts and ensure the quality of ingredients meets company standards. Conduct regular inspections of food preparation and presentation. Address and resolve any issues related to food quality or safety. Collaborate with departments to develop special menus for special events and other initiatives to enhance customer satisfaction. Contribute to the development of long-term culinary strategies and goals. Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for innovation. Education and/or Experience A Certificate /Degree in the Culinary Field is preferred Technical School or 5+ years of experience in a similar working capacity Must be able to communicate clearly with managers, kitchen personnel and various employees Strong organizational and time management skills Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Serv-safe certification required Other Qualifications Must be able to lift 25 pounds/11.5 kilos on occasions. Must be able to stand for long extended periods of time. Must be able to frequently bend; twist; reach; stoop; kneel or crouch.
