POSITION OVERVIEW

dormakaba is seeking a Buyer II based in its Reamstown, PA facility. The Buyer II is responsible for managing the supplier base and all related activities for the direct procurement of assigned commodities, to ensure smooth operations and uninterrupted production flow.

HIRING SALARY RANGE: Base Salary $65,000 - $87,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.) WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Manage MRP and perform procurement of assigned commodities to support smooth production flow and on-time fulfillment of customer orders
• Evaluate MRP purchase requisitions and review inventory levels to make purchasing decisions, optimizing inventory levels and working capital
• Participate in evaluating supplier performance based on defined KPIs, coordinate communication (internal and external) and manage execution plan for improvements
• Work closely with Category Managers to monitor market indicators and develop strategic buys

• Research, select and vet new suppliers for assigned commodities

   

WHAT WE REQUIRE

• High School diploma or GED equivalent
• Minimum 3 years of relevant purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment
• Strong background in purchasing and supply management concepts, basic understanding of contracts and legal documents

• Experienced in utilizing MRP and ERP systems

   

WHAT WE PREFER

• Additional college credits or degree in supply chain management or in business
• AS400 experience
