Along with our local affiliated Dignity Health hospitals (Mercy Medical Center – Mt. Shasta Mercy Medical Center – Redding and St. Elizabeth Community Hospital) we offer an integrated care delivery system that provides high quality compassionate care in family medicine internal medicine OB/GYN cardiology and interventional cardiology neurology and neuro-interventional general surgery endovascular surgery and orthopedic surgery including general total joints and spine.

Responsibilities

The Ultrasound Technologist position is responsible for knowing his/her professional scope of practice as defined by the California Business and Professional Code and for satisfactorily completing the Dignity Health Medical Foundation orientation period that includes demonstrating skills and behaviors that meet a fully competent level of performance. Ultrasound Technologists maintain a clean organized and safe environment and performs patient care services under the supervision of the radiologists Chief Tech and management. This includes assisting in prepping patients for examinations x-rays and procedures relaying instructions from the radiologist or physician to a patient or authorized person and collecting patient data documenting patient concerns patient messages and care provided to the patient in the patients medical record for the radiologist and physician's review and performing diagnostic medical sonograms. May be required to occasionally work at other locations within the Greater Sacramento Area as needed.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Completion of accredited Diagnostic Ultrasound Technology program.

  • High School Diploma.

  • RDMS

  • AHA BLS

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum of one year of Ultrasonography experience preferred.

  • RVT or a RDMS who also performs vascular preferred

Pay Range

$38.81 - $56.28 /hour
