Data Analyst BCforward is currently seeking a highly motivated Data Analyst remote opportunity. Position Title: Data Analyst Location: Remote Anticipated Start Date: ASAP Please note this is the target date and is subject to change. BCforward will send official notice ahead of a confirmed start date. Expected Duration: 6 months (Potential chances for extension) Job Type: [FULL TIME] (>=40 HRS WEEKLY)], [CONTRACT], [REMOTE] Pay Range: $70/hr. - $75/hr. Please note that actual compensation may vary within this range due to factors such as location, experience, and job responsibilities, and does not encompass additional non-standard compensation (e.g., benefits, paid time off, per diem, etc.). Title: Data Analyst Location: Remote Duration: 6 Months (Potential chances for extension) Summary: The main function of a Data Analyst is to coordinate changes to computer databases, test, and implement the database applying knowledge of database management systems. Job Responsibilities: * Work with senior management, technical and client teams in order to determine data requirements, business data implementation approaches, best practices for advanced data manipulation, storage and analysis strategies * Write and code logical and physical database descriptions and specify identifiers of database to management system or direct others in coding descriptions * Design, implement, automate and maintain large scale enterprise data ETL processes * Modify existing databases and database management systems and/or direct programmers and analysts to make changes * Test programs or databases, correct errors and make necessary modifications Skills: * Experience with database technologies * Knowledge of the ETL process * Knowledge of at least one scripting language * Strong written and oral communication skills * Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills * Demonstrated history of success * Desire to be working with data and helping businesses make better data driven decisions Education/Experience: * Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required * 8-10 years applicable experience required Candidate Requirements * Years of Experience Required: 8-10 overall years of experience in the field. * Degrees or certifications required: A degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred. * Disqualifiers: Candidates with no data center experience will not be eligible for the role. * Best vs. Average: Experience with BI tools like Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms is a plus. The ideal resume will contain ability to manage and manipulate large datasets efficiently, with a focus on accuracy and performance. The ideal candidate is a highly analytical individual with extensive experience in handling large datasets and leveraging advanced tools to perform complex data manipulation, automation, and reporting. This role demands precision, deep technical expertise, and a strategic mindset to transform data into actionable insights. * Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to translate complex data into meaningful business insights * Performance Indicators: Performance will be assessed based on quality of work - accuracy, detail oriented Top 3 Hard Skills Required + Years of Experience * Power BI, Excel Dashboards, and SQL-based reporting platforms.
