Job Description The person in this role supervises a group of power dispatchers in operations who perform transmission and balancing functions, ensuring transmission system and generation resources function in a safe, reliable, and efficient manner. They will work with a variety of internal and external stakeholders to facilitate and enhance the Load Office's ability to support power system reliability, employee safety and compliance with FERC (Federal Energy Regulatory Commission), NERC (North American Electric Reliability Corporation) and WECC (Western Electricity Coordinating Council) requirements. This role will involve shift or non-standard hours depending on business needs. The Load Office is a 24/7 real-time operation that monitors, operates, and controls PSE's high voltage transmission system (55kV and above) and company-owned thermal and renewable generation assets. The Load Office operates as a NERC-registered Balancing Authority and Transmission Operator within the WECC region. Upholds the safety compliance standards inherent in PSE's operating and/or field procedures related to work responsibilities. Promotes and supports a culture of total safety. Demonstrates commitment to conduct business honestly, ethically and consistent with our core values and Code of Conduct. Ensures duties are performed in accordance with all regulatory compliance obligations. Provides guidance, when necessary, during system or resource emergencies and other abnormal system or resource conditions.
