POSITION TITLE: Warehouse Operator A Flex - 2nd Shift

REPORTS TO: Logistics Supervisor

LOCATION: Reedsburg, WI

POSITION SUMMARY: Supply materials for production, palletize product, and complete general warehouse duties in a safe manner. The position involves operating various types of fork-trucks to complete the work and keeping a clean and safe work environment. This position supports the distribution department as needed.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Operate forklift safe and effectively to pick and stage orders

  • Perform inventory transactions in the inventory management system

  • Palletize products

  • Proper receipt and put away of materials, keeping the warehouse organized

  • Supply manufacturing with raw materials for production

  • Assist with inventory and/or cycle counting

  • Perform shipping and receiving tasks as required

  • Load and unload trucks

  • Prepare customer orders for shipping

  • Obtain and maintain a valid forklift license

  • Attend required corporate training/meetings

  • All other duties as assigned

  • All job functions to be completed in compliance with federal, state, local regulations, company guidelines and policies

REQUIREMENTS / EDUCATION LEVEL:

  • High School diploma or equivalent is required

  • Complete and pass required medical screening

WORK EXPERIENCE:

  • Preferred: previous experience driving fork-truck

  • Preferred: previous experience with order picking and warehouse operations

  • Preferred: previous experience using SAP/WMS software

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITY:

  • Basic math and reading skills

  • Basic computer skills

  • Ability to work in a fast pace environment and achieve set performance standards

  • Ability to work independently and as a team player

  • Ability to operate various types of fork-trucks, dock, and warehouse equipment

  • Ability to read and understand shipping/receiving paperwork (bill of ladings, packing lists, etc.)

  • Ability to adapt to overtime schedule

  • Ability to operate hand and pneumatic tools

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :

  • Must be able to sit, stand, or walk up to 8 hours a day

  • Must be able to frequently carry (up to 30 feet each time) up to 25 pounds

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

  • Have full range of motion of the waist and neck

  • Must have unrestricted use of upper extremities and perform over-head reaching

  • Frequently bend (to the floor), twist, and kneel

  • Must be able to climb stairs
