Data Engineer
As a Data Engineer, you will help design, create, deploy, and maintain Paylocity’s data architecture. This role will influence how the data will be stored, consumed, integrated, and managed by different data entities and systems. The role will be pivotal in engineering the tactical work of getting source data to its target.

During the first six months, you will:
Design, develop, test, performance optimize and deploy data pipelines using Snowflake/DBT
Design and develop software components of Paylocity’s Data Platform and deployment pipelines.
Work in close partnership with other Engineering teams, including Data Science, & cross-functional teams, such as Product Management & Product Design
Create/maintain monitoring and alerting of Paylocity’s Data Platform and provide operational support.
Have the opportunity to mentor others on the team and share your knowledge across the Paylocity organization.
Required Experience:
Bachelor's degree in a computer science, engineering, technology-related field or equivalent experience
2 + years of experience in a data engineering role using SQL and Python programming languages.
Amazon Web Services offerings such as EMR, Lambda, CloudFormation stacks etc.
Strong SQL skills are a must.
Experience with Snowflake, DBT, or MongoDB are a plus.
