PAY RANGE

The Target Pay Range for this position is $83,300.00-$101,700.00 annually. The full Pay Range is $64,600.00 - $120,600.00 annually. At BECU, compensation decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, and education or training. Should an offer for employment be made, we will consider individual qualifications. In addition to your salary, compensation incentives are available for the hired applicant. Incentives are performance based and targets vary by role.

Employees have access to disability and AD&D insurance. We also offer health care and dependent care flexible spending accounts, as well as health savings accounts, to eligible employees. Employees are able to enroll in our company’s 401k plan and employer-funded retirement plan. Newly hired employees accrue 6.16 hours of paid time off (PTO) on a per pay period basis based on hours worked (up to a maximum of 160 PTO hours per year) and receive ten paid holidays throughout the calendar year. IMPACT YOU’LL MAKE:

As an Internal Auditor, you’ll play a crucial role in assessing the effectiveness of controls, verifying the accuracy of our financial records, and enhancing our operational efficiency. You’ll foster and maintain meaningful relationships with internal customers along your journey. Your audit work will be guided by COSO Internal Control-Integrated Framework and The Institute of Internal Auditors Professional Practices Framework, helping to reshape our landscape and drive BECU’s success.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Ensure Compliance: Perform your responsibilities in alignment with BECU Competencies and Information Protection requirements to maintain the highest standards.

  • Conduct Risk-Based Audits: Lead assurance and consulting engagements focused on adding value and refining BECU’s operations through comprehensive risk assessments and audit fieldwork.

  • Policy Adherence: Follow all BECU and Audit Services policies and procedures to ensure cohesive operations.

  • Document Thoroughly: Prepare meticulously organized and documented working papers as your Manager guides, showcasing your dedication to detail.

  • Verify Data Accuracy: Assess financial, compliance, and operational data across departments to confirm accuracy and validate procedures.

  • Build Trust: Establish and nurture partnerships with internal customers, grounded in credibility, trust, and a deep understanding of their business objectives and processes.

  • Maintain Confidentiality: Conduct all assurance activities with an independent outlook, preserving confidentiality and appropriately handling sensitive information.

  • Utilize Data Mining Tools: Harness the power of data mining tools to perform precise and insightful audit analytics for risk assessments and testing.

  • Stay Informed: Keep abreast of key regulatory and legal requirements relevant to our internal processes.

  • Support External Audits and Exams: Perform member account and corporate confirmations for public accountants and data requests from State/Federal Examiners.

  • Adapt and Excel: Take on additional duties as assigned, showcasing your versatility and commitment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or accountancy, or equivalent work or education-related experience.

  • Minimum two years of functional experience auditing in financial services.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Public Accounting experience.

  • Experience using data mining tools
