The job:
We have an exciting opportunity for an individual with a strong work ethic and motivation to join our team as a Biosciences Account Manager to manage biotech accounts in London.
As a Biosciences Account Manager, you will play a crucial role in driving sales and building relationships with our valued customers in the biotech industry. You will have the opportunity to work with a world-class team, develop your sales skills, and contribute to the success of our ambitious sales targets.
We need you to drive growth in our Biosciences portfolio - protein, cell and molecular biology (Invitrogen, Gibco & Applied Biosystems), including selected equipment including endpoint PCR equipment, fluorescent microscopes and flow cytometers and various other small benchtop laboratory instruments.
This role requires an individual with a consistent track record in sales and a deep technical understanding combined with the ability to empathise and help to resolve customer issues.
Responsibilities:
Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities
Foster and nurture strong relationships with a diverse range of customers
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure flawless execution of sales strategies and initiatives
Provide exceptional customer service and support to ensure customer satisfaction
Successfully manage and grow a portfolio of key accounts
Conduct market research to determine customer needs and preferences
Prepare and deliver sales presentations to prospective customers
Monitor and analyse sales data to identify trends and opportunities for growth
Strictly adhere to company policies and procedures in all sales activities
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience (PhD preferred)
Proven track record of success in sales, preferably life sciences, is preferred
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong negotiation and persuasion abilities
Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Proficient in using CRM software and other sales tools
Ambitious and self-motivated with a passion for achieving sales targets
