Shire Regional Business Director, Hemophilia East (PA) in Remote, Pennsylvania
The Regional Business Director is responsible for meeting or exceeding sales/profit targets on a quarterly /annual basis. Manages the tactical/operational daily activities of the Hematology sales team in the Region.
Plans, directs and controls the sales and business activities within the physician setting to attain sales volume, product mix and profit objectives.
Prepares quarterly and annual regional forecasts and participates in the determination of market potential and in preparation of sales expense estimates for the region.
Plans and manages the sales efforts of the region by effectively coaching, providing feedback and developing team members.
Partners with sales leaders, sales support and marketing in the development of marketing programs, sales promotion and training.
Ability to analyze and interpret data for effective sales strategies and good organization/time management skills.
Collaborates closely with Payer, IDN, Market Access and National Accounts teams to establish strategic execution and pull through of contract opportunities within each geography
Drives the implementation of brand strategies to ensure the attainment of national objectives.
Ability to adapt national strategies based on regional business drivers and influencers
Deals with major accounts to ensure customer satisfaction within assigned region.
Demonstrated success and experience in leading launch excellence of new therapeutic options
Understands the complexity of and can lead a team through understanding and navigating the different channels and avenues that drive successful sales strategies in this environment.
Directs staffing, training and performance evaluations to develop and control sales program.
Education and Experience Requirements
7 years of demonstrated successful relevant healthcare sales experience in managing and accountable for own territories
Experience managing a sales team and effectively coaching, providing feedback and developing team members.
Experience organizing and maximizing information on sales leads and integration into the strategic sales plan.
Experience creating and implementing annual sales budgets and forecasts.
Experience effectively collaborating and partnering with various functions in the development of strategy and tactics
Key Skills, Abilities, and Competencies
The successful candidate must have strong management experience in the healthcare industry, preferably in the biotech field.
Experience in navigating, selling and leading within the physician setting. With a strong understanding of the different environmental and market drivers of this customer segment.
Bachelor’s degree required with a minimum of 10 years of demonstrated successful relevant healthcare sales experience. Advance degree preferred.
Candidate must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral, as well as negotiation, collaboration and presentation skills.
Must have experience creating and implementing annual sales budgets and forecasts.
Candidate must demonstrate personal accountability for results, business acumen and knowledge of sales processes, as well as strong leadership and decision-making abilities.
Ability to organize and maximize information on sales leads and integrate this information into the strategic sales plan.
Position requires ability to analyze and interpret data for effective sales strategies and good organization/time management skills.
Ability to understand and adapt to customer changing needs is essential.
Travel throughout the region territories is required.
