Job Description:
Summary:
The Business Systems Analyst (BSA) – Data & Analytics plays a critical role in connecting business needs with technology solutions. This position requires collaboration with stakeholders, including business managers, users, project managers, and development teams, to gather and document user stories and business requirements. The BSA will conduct data analysis, perform data mapping, and create functional specifications for development teams. Additionally, this role involves data validation between source applications and the Microsoft Azure data platform, as well as unit testing of reports and dashboards to ensure data accuracy and reliability. This role requires excellent communication skills, strong analytical mindset, and good grasp of business processes.
Essential Functions:
Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand objectives, processes, and data needs.
Gather, document, and analyze requirements and translate these into user stories for Scrum backlog.
Conduct detailed data analysis and mapping between source systems and the Azure data platform.
Develop functional specifications for the development team.
Collaborate with developers, and architects to design and implement analytic solutions.
Create Power BI reports and dashboards of simple to medium complexity.
Validate and test data models, reports, and dashboards to ensure accuracy and consistency.
Assist in the development and execution of test plans, including unit and user acceptance testing.
Provide support in troubleshooting data issues and discrepancies. Own service tickets to achieve service levels (SLAs).
Ensure compliance with data governance and quality standards.

Qualifications:
Education:Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, or related field. May consider equivalent work experiencein lieu of degree.
Years of Experience: Minimum 5 years of relevant data analytics or business systems analyst experience.
Solid understanding of data governance, modeling, and validation principles and techniques.
Experience working with SAP S/4 HANA (Finance, Manufacturing, Sales, or Supply Chain) and Microsoft Azure data services.
Proficient in using SQL and working with databases.
Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar.
