Providence Health Plan is calling a Senior Accountant, General Ledger who will:
Be responsible for the preparation and review of Health Plan financial statements
Perform analysis of operating statements, balance sheets and other financial reports
Prepare and / or review monthly account reconciliations, and journal entries
Be called upon as a department 'subject matter expert' on specific areas of accounting applications or functions, such as banking, revenue, medical expense and/or specific lines of business
Be responsible for implementing, and complying with, System Financial Compliance and Control Policies including Technical Accounting Bulletins

Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting -OR- a combination of equivalent education and relevant work experience
3+ years of progressive experience in the health care industry
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Coursework / Training: Graduate-level education -OR- a combination of equivalent education and relevant work experience
5+ General Ledger Accounting Experience with GAAP Knowledge
5+ years' experience working with Journal Entry and Reconciliation Preparations
Leadership Experience
For graduate level education: CPA

The amounts listed are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
