Google Technical Program Manager III, Program Management Office, Google Public Sector in Reston, Virginia

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

  • 5 years of experience in program management.

  • 5 years of experience as a Program Manager supporting U.S. Federal Government contracts within the Public Sector.

  • Active US Government Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmentalized Information (TS/SCI) security clearance.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 10 years of experience managing U.S. Federal Government contracts.

  • 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.

  • 5 years of experience with cloud computing platforms.

  • 5 years of experience migrating on premise software workloads to cloud solutions.

  • Ability to communicate and influence on multiple levels (e.g., leadership team, junior engineers, cross-discipline stakeholders, partners, and customers).

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

In this role, you’ll work with Google’s external clients and internal cross-functional teams to ensure program delivery is on schedule and on budget to deliver Google Cloud capabilities to the US Department of Agriculture (USDA) and designated US Government agencies. The focus of the program is to assist the USDA to drive toward a secure enterprise enabling agile delivery of capabilities through best practices while optimizing use of IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS utilizations across the organization.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $142,000-$211,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.   • Lead the strategic, technical, and program management of multi-functional Google Cloud projects with customers.

  • Enable the Digital Infrastructure Services Center (DISC) to perform as a reseller of Google Public Sector services.

  • Manage the network access and lead efforts to implement future architectures.

  • Manage risks, issues, and actions for customers, and track them regularly to meet the expected outcomes and timelines.

  • Manage program budget and spending, and transparent billing and ordering activities.
