We are seeking an Operations Technician Energy, to join our Team in our Richland, WA office. How will you contribute to the team?

Performs a range of direct push drilling equipment operations associated with Atkins direct push drilling and characterization contracts with Washington River Protection Services (H2C), Central Plateau Construction Company (CPCCo), and other potential government contractors.

Ensures compliance with Atkins policies and procedures and with local, state and federal regulations.

Performs operations work as part of a team of skilled workers (e.g., health physics technicians, nuclear chemical operators, industrial hygienists, safety engineers, geologists, etc.).

Operates a variety of equipment: (1) hand and power tools; (2) small, fixed-facility (light) equipment; (3) medium weight equipment; (4) heavy equipment and (5) direct push drill rigs.

Cleans equipment, machinery and work areas.

Uses equipment to conduct direct push subsurface investigations including soil sample collections and geophysical logging thru direct push boreholes.

Monitors and operates equipment using normal, abnormal and emergency operating procedures.

Operates equipment within the bounds of the Documented Safety Analysis (DSA) as applicable.

Operates equipment under the direction of a Test Engineer, the Test Operations Manager, a Shift Operations Manager or a field supervisor in support of testing and drilling operations as applicable, according to location and work assignment.

Works under the direction of the Operations Manager as applicable, according to location and work assignment.

Complies with all local, state and federal health and safety regulations and site health and safety requirements.

Complies with all requirements for wearing personal protective equipment while performing job duties.

Participates in procedure development and revision, job hazard analysis and safety walkdowns as applicable.

Operates power-driven equipment of medium weight and horsepower such as trucks, backhoes, drill rigs, and hoists/forklifts.

Reports the need for major mechanical adjustments and repairs.
