Where the team fits in
The Senior Delivery Lead sits in the Media Team, within the Advertising Portfolio.
The Media squad helps consumers share, rent, buy, sell and enjoy property, by connecting them with all sorts of products and services to help them along their property journey. This includes finance products, utilities, home services, furnishings, automotive and many more innovative advertising and lead generation tools. The fast-growing Media business includes a cross-functional team from Product, IT, Sales, Marketing, PR and Communications, HR, Finance and Legal. We’re all about using digital solutions to make property and everything that supports consumers around property, simple, efficient and stress free.
What The Role Is All About
As a Senior Delivery Lead, you will be responsible for leading the delivery of a large-scale program of work focused on migrating our AdTech tools and systems through the entire SDLC – from concept, discovery and requirements through specification, development, testing and release. Your responsibilities will include:
Facilitate and drive the end-to-end delivery of the program of work across the cross-functional and agile team
Take the lead at the inception phase to ensure that initiatives are scoped, planned, and resourced appropriately
Work closely with our Product team to facilitate scope and priority conversations.
Keep senior stakeholders informed and engaged, manage risks and issues and coordinate releases
Create transparency of deliverables for stakeholders via fit for purpose reporting
Manage your team’s capital and operational expenses in line with the budget
Manage and coordinate external and internal delivery dependencies and align to project timelines
Provide advice and thought leadership and ensure successful design and implementation of technology strategies that align with REA Strategies
Work with our Tech Leads and Architects to assess new technologies and ensure our technology decisions align to REA best practice and can be operationalised
Manage and ensure an appropriate level of system health as per tech OKRs
Form part of the Media Leadership team, and be jointly accountable for team health, happiness, and performance
Positively contribute to the culture of your team, build engagement and morale, be involved in recruiting, set structure and processes, and build and maintain a high performing team
Line management responsibility of up to 2-4 REA team members, who will require you to mentor them, identify skill gaps, establish development plans, and conduct performance reviews
Who We’re Looking For
Practical knowledge of agile software delivery methodologies
Expert written and verbal communication skills
Advanced project management skills, ideally with program management experience.
Advanced leadership, coordination, motivational, negotiation and dispute resolution skills
Developed understanding of the Media & AdTech industry and and complex systems
Experience in leading large scale technology migration projects, preferably around the Media & AdTech landscape
Advanced skills in line managing and mentoring people
5+ years of experience leading technology projects using broad range of agile methodologies and in a variety of settings, including distributed teams
