Description We are offering a contract employment opportunity in the Credit Union industry, based in Richmond, Virginia, 23237, United States. The role is a Branch/Retail Banking Clerk, specifically a Credit Clerk. In this role, you will be responsible for processing customer credit applications and maintaining accurate customer credit records, among other responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
• Accurately and efficiently process and record routine transactions for bank customers including cashing checks, accepting deposits and withdrawals, and processing loan payments and money transfers
• Process customer credit applications accurately and efficiently
• Maintain accurate customer credit records
• Resolve customer credit inquiries promptly and professionally
• Monitor customer credit accounts and take appropriate action to collect delinquent payments
• Provide a high standard of customer service to all clients
• Utilize skills in Bank Deposit and Customer Service to enhance the overall customer experience and maintain customer satisfaction. Requirements • Possess strong skills in handling Bank Deposits and managing related tasks
• Exceptional customer service skills, with the ability to handle customer queries and issues effectively
• Previous experience in a Credit Union or similar financial institution will be advantageous
• Familiarity with Branch/Retail Banking operations and processes
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work well within a team and contribute to achieving branch goals
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with customers and team members professionally
• Knowledge of banking regulations and guidelines
• Proficient in the use of banking software and systems
• Ability to handle confidential information responsibly.
