Description We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity in the real estate industry based in Richmond, Virginia. The role revolves around the responsibilities of a Property Accountant, which demands a deep understanding of commercial property management and real estate accounting.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee and manage commercial property accounting tasks.
• Ensure the timely preparation of standard monthly reporting packages in accordance with specifications.
• Oversee accounts receivable process, monitor cash receipts, and perform tenant ledger reconciliations.
• Coordinate accounts payable process, review invoice coding and approvals, and commit invoices for payment.
• Review leases and leasing activity to ensure accurate billing.
• Perform cash management functions and assist with annual budget preparation.
• Assist in preparing quarterly reports and forecasts as needed.
• Calculate annual CAM reconciliations and Tax Recovery calculations and corresponding tenant billings in accordance with the lease.
• Assist in all audits related to the properties.
• Utilize property management software such as Yardi or Avid for efficient workflow. Requirements • Possession of a Bachelors / Honours Degree in Accounting or Finance
• Proficient in Commercial Property Management
• Skilled in Property Accounting
• Experience in Real Estate Accounting
• Proficient in using Microsoft Excel
• Knowledge of Commercial Real Estate
• Familiarity with Cam Reconciliation
• Proficiency in using Yardi Enterprise software
• Experience in Yardi Property Management
• Proficient in using Yardi Software
• Knowledge of Property Management Accounting
• Experience in Real Estate Finance
• Must have legal right to work in the country of employment without must be eligible to work in the U.S.
• Must be able to pass any applicable checks related to the position
