Service Sales Manager | 95k - 110k/yr | Fully Remote with Restrictions to DC, MD and VA
Job Description
Provide service quotes to support projects in the field by defining project scope, cost estimates, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with engineering, production, quality, and service groups. Help drive Service Sales by conducting service check-in cold calls. These calls should be used to quote critical spare parts packages, extended warranty, and service contracts. Manage service sales contracts, including managing the risk of contractual obligations relating to projects. Effectively communicate relevant service sales information to management, prepare contractual claims in support of field service projects, and manage project schedules. Provide timely responses to all sales requests, resolve and/or escalate issues promptly, and understand how to communicate difficult or sensitive information tactfully.
Responsibilities
Provide service quotes to support field projects by defining project scope, cost estimates, goals, and deliverables.
Conduct service check-in cold calls to quote critical spare parts packages, extended warranty, and service contracts.
Manage service sales contracts and related risks.
Communicate relevant service sales information to management.
Prepare contractual claims including extensions of time, prolongation cost, acceleration cost, and other claims for field service projects.
Manage project schedules and ensure timely response to sales requests.
Resolve and/or escalate issues in a timely manner.
Understand and communicate difficult or sensitive information tactfully.
Understand basic revenue models, P/L, and cost-to-completion projections.
Understand pricing models and billing procedures.
Follow up with clients regarding unpaid invoices when necessary.
Ensure service sales legal documents are completed and signed on time.
Review project scope to ensure cost and profitability are met.
Keep track of lessons learned and share with management.
Essential Skills
10 years of experience in the HVAC industry.
5 years of sales experience or significant tenure in HVAC, even as a technician.
5 years of managerial experience.
Proficient in project schedule management.
Strong knowledge of revenue models, P/L, and cost-to-completion projections.
Understanding of pricing models and billing procedures.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Self-motivated and driven.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Engineering knowledge to meet and exceed industry standards.
Adherence to engineering standards and safety procedures.
Proficiency in documentation and data retrieval.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $95000.00 - $120000.00/yr.
