Robert Half Systems Administrator in Richmond, Virginia



  • Create SharePoint (SP) site collections and assign permissions as required

  • Delete and restore SP site collections as required

  • Add files to sites as needed.

  • Create, edit, and delete quota template in SP Server.

  • Administer Active Directory Users, Groups, OU’s, and DNS.

  • Managing Windows systems, including Windows Server 2008, Window Server 2012, to include 2012 STIG deployment.

  • Keep a log of daily activities for tasks, which will be available upon request, and summarized in the monthly status report.

  • Perform Defense Enterprise Email account creation and manage/support Outlook accounts, calendars, etc.

  • Ability to work well independently and in a team environment.



  • Documenting and analyzing technical issues and customer interactions

  • Knowledge of and skill in administering SharePoint sites using the Site Collection Admin page.

  • Knowledge and understanding of SharePoint collaboration governance, documenting, and maintaining configuration and processes.

  • Experience with SharePoint’s application services framework including implementation, configuration, and usages of Search, Managed Metadata, and User Profile Services.

  • Design and manage the overall content, design and functionality from a customer and user perspective based on organizational workflow processes.

  • Review and assesses site accessibility and search capability in accordance with organizational polices, guidance and user permissions.

  • Experience and working knowledge of Microsoft Exchange and Unified Messaging

  • Solid understanding and working experience with Microsoft Active Directory (AD)

  • Experience troubleshooting Offline Outlook Data File (.ost) and Outlook Data File (.pst) issues

  • Experience configuring outlook clients and troubleshooting mail delivery issues

  • Experience troubleshooting setup and challenges with Outlook Web Access (OWA), Outlook Anywhere, and ActiveSync.

  • Experience with the administration of mailboxes and user accounts
