Clarion Sintered Metals Customer Service Representative in Ridgway, Pennsylvania

 

The purpose of the Customer Service Representative is to provide support relative to scheduling and provide assistance to all customers (both internal and external) regarding all delivery functions and to effectively schedule required parts for manufacture in assigned equipment to ensure on-time delivery. This position has the authority to interpret and communicate scheduling data to internal and external customers within the established guidelines.

This position utilizes business system and customer knowledge to effective schedule the mold process to insure proper lead time for manufacture of parts to meet customer delivery dates.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Accurately enter customer (external) purchase orders and forecasts in a timely manner to insure maximum visibility to requirements.
  2. Communicate acceptance or deviation from customer (external) requested product deliveries.
  3. Effectively interpret scheduling data and work in process information relative to completion estimates.
  4. Using business system, review part requirements and create necessary manufacturing orders.
  5. Release orders via mold schedule to assigned equipment to start the manufacturing process.
  6. Update manufacturing orders to reflect completion in mold and any other applicable changes to the lot.
  7. Provide active input to continuous improvement.
  8. Effectively communicate job related information.
  9. Participate in the training of others.
  10. Effectively interact with customers (internal and external) regarding scheduling and delivery functions.
  11. Interact with support personnel to insure on-time delivery.
  12. Effectively maintain software spreadsheets that are customer related.
  13. Develop and revise applicable procedures and documentation.
  14. Accurately observe, measure and record delivery performance as requested.
  15. Act properly and timely when customer concerns are detected.
  16. Review and process EDI information.
  17. Understand delivery methods.
  18. Analyze and interpret customer delivery requirements to differentiate between actual customer demand and forecast            information.
  19. Participate in scheduled production meetings as required and prepare production needs report daily.
  20. Review expedite options with the logistics coordinator, as needed, to include price and delivery alternatives and determine the best option for expediting customer orders and get any required approval.
  21. Access customer websites as required to insure meeting customer measurement criteria.
