Robert Half Payroll Specialist in Riverside, California

Description

We are in the pursuit of a Payroll Specialist for our Semi-Conductors and Electric Component Manufacturing business based in Riverside, California. The role is essential to our team and involves managing the complete payroll process for our diverse, multi-state workforce. This is a contract employment opportunity that requires strong proficiency in accounting software systems and an understanding of both hourly and salaried payroll processing.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the entire payroll process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in bi-weekly payroll cycles.

• Handle payroll for a diverse workforce across multiple states, managing both hourly and salaried employees.

• Process and manage garnishments, deductions, and other payroll adjustments as necessary.

• Ensure compliance with payroll tax regulations at the federal, state, and local levels.

• Carry out month-end and year-end payroll processes efficiently and accurately.

• Collaborate with HR and finance teams to resolve payroll discrepancies and ensure data integrity.

• Stay updated on relevant payroll laws, regulations, and best practices to ensure compliance and drive process improvements.

• Utilize SAP or similar payroll software to streamline payroll processes and enhance efficiency.

• Handle accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) using IBM AS/400, Kronos Timekeeping System, and About Time.

• Perform other accounting functions as required, maintaining a high level of accuracy in data entry and processing.

Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Payroll Specialist role or similar

• Proficient in Accounting Software Systems

• Experience with ADP - Financial Services is necessary

• Familiarity with IBM AS/400 will be advantageous

• Knowledge of Kronos Timekeeping System is desired

• Experience with About Time software will be beneficial

• Capable of performing Accounting Functions efficiently

• Previous experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Knowledge of the Semi-Conductors and Electric Component Manufacturing industry will be a plus

• Strong organizational and time management skills

• Excellent attention to detail

• Good communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to handle confidential information responsibly.
