What You'll Do:
We're seeking an energetic and passionate Shipping Supervisor to join our growing team in West Palm, FL!
This will work our day side shift. Hours/ Days for this role will be Monday- Friday ( 5am- 5pm )
How You'll Do It:
Plans, organizes and supervises the delivery function of the department ensuring timely and efficient delivery of high-quality products including management of work assignments and provides/facilitates training related to job duties, Company policies and procedures.
Coordinates with the Plant Manager, Plant Supervisors, Production Scheduler and other Plant personnel in order to attain delivery, cost and quality of service objectives
Ensures the cost effectiveness of the delivery function, including the control of labor utilization - preventing excess hours, downtime and overtime, and efficient usage of departmental equipment
Tracks and analyzes functional metrics; calculates estimated costs associated with the shipping/delivery function and recommends appropriate alternatives
Supervises and directs all job-related activities of Dock workers and other support staff engaged in the loading and unloading of freight while working with other Plant supervisors and/or office staff to ensure product, equipment and paperwork availability
Ensures products are loaded in adherence to approved loading patterns in order to prevent freight damage during transit and safe truck operations
Provides initial and on-going training and evaluation to assigned personnel related to job duties and performance expectations utilizing work method programs to motivate employees in order to improve performance and quality of work and raises employee performance levels through consistent feedback and ongoing coaching
What You'll Bring:
3-5 years related experience in a Lean manufacturing environment in a supervisory role.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
Up to 20% Travel- May need to travel offsite to oversee 2 employees at offsite warehouse
