Amazon Fulfillment Center Supervisor, FC Operations in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

Supervising day-to-day activities with responsibility for the overall safety, quality and performance and member experience of either Inbound or Outbound FC operations;

Setting and clarifying departmental requirements and expectations while creating an environment of teamwork, collaboration and open communication;

Understanding safety procedures, ensuring safe working practices and documenting accidents/incidents timely;

Prioritizing appropriately meeting deadlines;

Exhibiting professional behavior while coping well with ambiguity and change;

Driving results and approaching obstacles proactively;

Ensuring company policies are communicated and enforced consistently;

Sourcing and nurturing ideas and rolling them into the creation of improvement plans;

Taking proactive steps to ensure that best practices are shared across all departments, shifts and within the entire organization;

Working closely with (HR, Facilities, Safety and IT) to build and secure support and resources for projects and initiatives;

Tracking production metrics and utilizing data to develop strategies for continuous improvement and reporting to management;

Assisting with the establishment of long-term operational strategic plans;

Mentoring, providing training and development to optimize performance, creating organizational depth and individual growth;

Recognizing top performance, coaching and progressive discipline for poor performance;

Proposing and implementing improvements in equipment and processing methods;

Conducting time-card review daily and weekly to ensure pay accuracy;

Performing other duties with flexibility as assigned, rotating to other shifts/departments and working extended hours and holidays as needed including an expectation to arrive at least 30 minutes early and remaining at least 30 minutes at end of shift to complete pass downs, reports and time-card reviews.

Key job responsibilities

Measure and monitor workflows, track onsite performance, and provide important shift information to frontline management to ensure operational excellence across shifts

Support and train employees to deliver great service and supervise them in their daily tasks

Support the Shift/Area Manager with projects to improve processes, cultivate a safe working environment, and increase workforce engagement

Work with other departments to find solutions to address common issues or support needs in areas of key performance

Use data analysis to identify ways to optimise safety, quality and productivity

Riyadh, SAU

Basic Qualifications

  • 1+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience

  • High school or equivalent

  • Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays

  • Can lift up to 49 pounds, stand/walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, and be able to frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience

  • Experience of stakeholder management including building and maintaining professional relationships

  • Experience in an operational environment, such as logistics, retail, hospitality, or customer service

  • Upper intermediate proficiency in English
