Parsons KAFD is looking for an amazingly talented Senior Design Manager - Master Planning to join our team!
In this role, you will join a professional engineering, construction, and cost management team that is involved in multiple projects in the King Abdullah Financial District (KAFD). KAFD is a master plan development positioned to become Riyadh’s new Central Business District that combines a real estate development of approximately 850,000 sqm of office space, 115,000 GLA of retail, 1,200 residential units, 5-star Hotels, and 600 hospitality keys. KAFD is set to be the main enabler of the KSA 2030 vision.
What You'll be Doing;
Establish and manage all design and engineering disciplines resources to support efficient and complete reviews of deliverables from all engineering disciplines during design and construction phases.
Represent the client in engagement with the selected designer and ensure the completeness and adequacy of design work outcomes.
Manages all engineering and design efforts for all disciplines required for the project and coordinates all discipline staffing requirements for the program.
Monitors the quality and progress of the discipline on the project, ensuring that production requirements are satisfied. Works closely with the Project Director to resolve any existing or forecasted problems related to discipline staffing, quality of work, schedule performance, or productivity.
Establishes standards and procedures manuals for the discipline. Recommends improvements to department procedures.
Supports pre-contract and business development efforts as required, serving as technical consultant.
Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as appropriate.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Architecture (or related field)
12+ years of related work experience, including supervisory/managerial experience.
Extensive experience in Master Planning
Proven ability to perform in a supervisory/managerial capacity, excellent written and oral communications skills, and a thorough knowledge of industry practices and regulations are required.
Must also possess a thorough knowledge of current technology and the capabilities and efficiencies of specific engineering software for use in completing engineering assignments.
GCC Experience in a PMC or similar setup with buildings & luxury hospitality experience
