Description
We are currently seeking a highly-motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Accounts Payable Clerk. The primary role of the Accounts Payable Clerk is to manage and prepare all invoices on a daily basis and route them for approval.
Responsibilities:
Receiving and verifying invoices and requisitions for goods and services.
Data entry of invoices for payment.
Processing backup reports after data entry.
Manage the weekly cheque run.
Record all checks.
Prepare manual checks as and when required.
Maintaining listing of accounts payable.
Maintain updated accounts payable files and vendor files.
Investigate and resolve any discrepancies with vendor accounts.
Assisting in monthly closures.
Assisting with Accounts Receivable when necessary.
Requirements
Qualifications:
A minimum of two years of experience in an Accounts Payable role.
A degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is preferred, but not required.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel.
Firm grasp on mathematical and analytical skills.
Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
