SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE: The CNC Machine Operator is responsible for the proper running of CNC machines to produce quality parts that meet the customer expectations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions. Follows work instructions and work orders (routers) to ensure that all customer and Acro requirements are met.
Maintains consistent quality and understands productivity rates for each job. Performs in-process inspections up to and including SPC as required and standard quality checks.
Uses measurement equipment such as Micrometers, calipers and indicators with height gages as required by each job. Safe operation of tooling and equipment is understood and always followed.
May set and adjust necessary controls to regulate machines. Maintains clean and safe work environment. Completes accurate paperwork including labor sheets, material pick lists and time records as appropriate.
Responsible for packaging parts in a safe and reasonable manner to move parts throughout the shop.
Responsible for stopping the process if at any time they feel that the parts are not meeting the quality requirements, or the process is not meeting the safety requirements. Use measurement equipment such as Micrometers, calipers and indicators with height gages and following their standard quality checks.
May approve product for first piece approval according to Acros standards.

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Normal production environment. Safety glasses are always required in the manufacturing area. Lubricants and sharp metals will be part of the normal operations. Ability to lift, bend and twist repetitively as required for each job. Clear or corrected vision at a close distance and ability to read small print, numbers, or measurement devices at a close distance. Ability to push or pull above the shoulder and perform repetitive hand and wrist motions. Ability to lift 15 lbs. unassisted and up to 50 lbs. with assistance. Will be required to sit or stand for long periods of time. Normal work week is 40 hours with off-shift and weekend support as needed to assure work is completed in a timely fashion.
