The Sr. Field Service Engineer is responsible to maintain , install and repair Sciex products at both internal and external customer sites, including strategic accounts. This position works independently to resolve all assigned customer and technical issues. Partners with Sales and Service management to drive customer satisfaction and business objectives . Mentors and develops staff members on more sophisticated instrumentation and complex workflows. 

This position is part of the Field Technical Service organization and is based in Buffalo, NY and is fully remote.  

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:  

  • Completes and successfully pass assigned training tasks on assigned products and responsibilities and Deep knowledge of Sciex and OEM products , as well as p erforms qualifications services and customer training .

  • Experienced and proficient in performing high quality installation, repair and maintenance on mass spectrometers , HPLC , and/or capillary electrophoresis instrumentation with a solid understanding of Sciex or competitive products including applications and software workflows

  • Assist District/Process Manager with leading technical discussions for regional critical issues , s pecial projects, identifying resources and training needs, and filling in for the DM as needed.

    The essential requirements of the job include:   

  • Associate’s degree (A.S./A. A.S ) or Bachelor's degree (B.S./B.A.) in Life Sciences, Chemistry, Engineering or equivalent experience ( i.e. Military Certificates in electronics or avionics)

  • 5+ years’ experience as a field service engineer , Troubleshoot ing and resolves difficult service situations both within assigned accounts as well as across the district/region.

  • Hold and maintain a valid Driver's License; meet Vendor Credentialing requirements; ability and willingness to lift up to 50 lbs. along with ability to walk, climb, stand, carry materials, stoop, kneel, and bend at the waist.

    It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:  

  • Prior experience using and/or servicing mass spectrometry , capillary electrophoresis or related scientific instruments is beneficial but not required .

  • Experienced in troubleshooting and follow problem-solving procedures and is proficient knowledge of electrical and electro-mechanical technology and all required safety protocols.

  • Domestic/International travel by vehicle or airplane, with up to 50% overnight travel may be required and exposure to seasonal weather based on geographic region

The hourly range for this role is $39.00-$41.00. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
