Responsibilities
CNC machinist should be able to operate and program machine tools such as lathes, mills, and grinders that are controlled by a computer to produce precision metal or steel parts.
To produce high-quality parts, machinists will need to know how to set up machines, as well as write, edit and test programs, and make adjustments as needed.
Precision measuring instruments are also used to ensure that completed parts meet specifications.
The essential functions of this role include:
working in a smoke free environment
wearing steel toe shoes
manual lifting up to 50lbs
standing for 8 hours at one time
