Job Title: Junior Construction Inspector
Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Construction Inspector to join our team. The successful candidate will assist in ensuring that construction projects comply with all relevant codes, standards, and specifications. This role involves on-site inspections, documentation, and collaboration with various stakeholders to ensure the quality and safety of construction activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct on-site inspections of construction projects to ensure compliance with roadway codes, safety regulations, and project specifications.
Assist in reviewing construction plans and specifications to identify potential issues.
Document inspection findings and prepare detailed reports.
Communicate effectively with contractors, engineers, and project managers to address any discrepancies or issues.
Monitor construction activities to ensure adherence to approved plans and timelines.
Assist in the resolution of construction-related problems and provide recommendations for corrective actions.
Maintain accurate and organized records of inspections and related documentation.
Stay updated on industry standards, codes, and regulations.

This is a fully on-site position in Rocky Hill, Connecticut.
Work Environment
40-person company with 3 main managers overseeing civil, field/water waste, and surveying groups. M-F: 8:30am-5:00pm (flexible). The surveying group consists of 3 CAD drafters and 13 surveyors but is rapidly growing. This position requires travel throughout the state and work in outdoor conditions. A company car or mileage reimbursement is offered.
