Position Summary:
The Events Coordinator will work directly with the Gallagher Global Brokerage (GGB) Global Practice Group Team and Regional/Practice Marketing teams to promote and coordinate regional and local branch events and webinars in support of Corporate and Divisional partnerships, events and initiatives. The role reports to the GGB Global Practice Group Team, and is responsible for managing Divisional and Regional virtual and in-person practice group initiatives. In addition, he/she will act as a secondary marketing point of contact for Regional Presidents, Practice Group Managing Directors, Operation Directors and select Branch Managers. Focused primarily on executing marketing events and initiatives in support of driving organic growth, the position includes:
Planning and executing events and webinars for GGB Global and Domestic events
Coordinating Gallagher sponsored events and activities, and cross-divisional events in partnership with our GBS Events Manager
Providing counsel and guidance to the field on optimal event and webinar experiences based on their needs
To be successful in this role, the candidate will bring enthusiasm and creative ideas for B2B in-person and virtual event marketing and promotion. Being detail-oriented and organized and will be critical. Strong organizational, communication and project management skills, coupled with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment are required. This position will afford the opportunity to collaborate across corporate and divisional marketing teams, practice area leaders, niche leaders, and internal and external marketing resources.
Specific Responsibilities:
Planning and project management of all aspects of a variety of in-person and virtual marketing events, including conferences, webinars, partnership activation, fundraising/community events among others
Establishment and building of strong relationships across marketing resources, including internal and external Corporate Partnership teams
Timeline management
Status reporting
Internal social media and communication coordination, including organizing and drafting promotional messages and communications
Industry analysis and prospect research (when necessary)
Tracking and measuring effectiveness of marketing efforts in driving sales, adjusting strategies to maximize ROI
Coordinating the approval process with Regional and Divisional stakeholders
Ensuring accuracy, quality, and consistency of corporate standards
Promoting cross-marketing opportunities - encouraging greater learning, communication and sharing of ideas across the Gallagher marketing community
Other duties as assigned by the Global Practice Group Team and National Marketing/Niche Leaders
Business/Professional Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field, and 1 years relevant experience in B2B marketing, commercial insurance experience is a plus
Strong technical skills across Microsoft Office Suite, especially Microsoft Excel
Experience with Workfront or other project management software/applications
Experience with WebEx, ON24, Adobe Connect or other webinar programs
Familiarity with SalesForce a plus
Skills & Experience:
Proven record of successful multi-project management that resulted in increased brand visibility and sales leads
Experience creating and managing detailed work plans based on defined scope and objectives as detailed by Practice Group Leaders and Regional Marketing teams
Strong communication skills
Excellent time management & organizational skills
Experience managing integrated digital and traditional marketing channels including paid, earned and owned media
Experience creating and managing marketing scorecards, dashboards or other relevant reports
Experience managing project budgets
Insurance industry experience preferred
