Job Title: Spray Booth Operator

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated and independent Spray Booth Operator to join our team. In this role, you will work from order sheets to gather wood pieces, mix stains, and apply stains using a spray gun. You will start in the hand staining department to learn stain mixing before moving to the spray booth. The position involves handling pieces of wood weighing 10-20 lbs and moving 80-100 pieces a day, all at waist height to minimize bending.

Responsibilities

  • Gather pieces of wood based on order sheets.

  • Mix stains according to the work order.

  • Apply stains using a spray gun.

  • Handle pieces of wood weighing 10-20 lbs.

  • Move 80-100 pieces a day at waist height.

  • Wear a respirator occasionally when required.

Essential Skills

  • Experience in production, wood finishing, painting, manufacturing, wood working, machine operation, spray painting, and general labor.

  • Ability to stand all day.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Certifications in relevant areas can lead to incremental raises of $0.50-$1.

  • No specific educational degree required.

Work Environment

Our workplace is a clean, busy, and safe environment that is well-lit and climate-controlled. The production floor does have a paint smell. You'll work at an 8-foot workbench handling materials weighing no more than 10 pounds. Safety gear including safety glasses, latex gloves, and closed-toe flat shoes is required. Shifts are from 6 am - 2:30 pm or 7 am - 3:30 pm.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Roseville, Minnesota.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $18.00/hr.
