Description We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a Tax Preparer in Royal Oak, Michigan. As part of our team, you will be tasked with preparing individual and corporate tax returns, utilizing your proficiency in Drake Tax Software. Your role will be critical in maintaining accurate customer credit records and resolving customer inquiries.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare individual tax returns with accuracy and efficiency
• Handle corporate tax returns, ensuring compliance with tax laws
• Utilize Drake Tax Software for processing and managing tax returns
• Keep accurate records of customer credit applications
• Resolve customer inquiries related to tax preparation and returns
• Use Creative Solutions for tax-related tasks
• Process Form 1099 and Form 1120 as part of tax preparation
• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary Requirements • Minimum of 1 year experience in a Tax Preparer role or similar
• Proficiency in Drake Tax Software
• Experience in preparing individual tax returns
• Experience in preparing corporate tax returns
• Knowledge of Creative Solutions software
• Strong skills in tax preparation
• Familiarity with Form 1099 and Form 1120
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all work
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to handle confidential information professionally and discreetly
• Commitment to staying updated on current tax laws and regulations
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
• Certification as a Tax Preparer is a plus
