Our Electronics Team is at the forefront of innovation, creating instrumentation that encompasses embedded electronics, sensors, motor drives, and actuators. We pride ourselves on developing cutting-edge solutions for complex automated systems and collaborating seamlessly with Mechanical Design and Software Development teams.

P ositi o n S u m ma r y :

In this role, you will focus on R&D product development for new and existing products, consisting of medical devices, IVDs and associated accessories. This includes products manufactured on site or by contract manufacturers where Shandon Diagnostics Ltd are the legal product owner.

What you will do:

  • Develop design solutions to support R&D projects in-line with best practice/engineering techniques.

  • Problem-solving activities – Assisting Root Cause Analysis investigations.

  • Perform basic engineering calculations and circuit simulations and tolerance analysis.

  • Support the design of new concepts for products and circuits

  • Use PADS or Altium to create, develop, store and control PCBA designs and cableforms.

  • Implement and conduct testing protocols on components and assemblies.

  • Generate detailed documentation, specifications, and design packages.

  • Perform Verification testing (including reliability testing) of product design for release.

Qualifications/Skills:

  • Degree in electrical engineering or equivalent, HND or A levels

  • Professional written and verbal communication skills, data analysis.

  • Good interpersonal and organisational skills.

  • Good IT skills including MS Office applications.
