Boeing Poland is currently looking for a Design Engineer to join their team in Rzeszow, Poland.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develops, integrates and documents structural and interior payload system requirements to establish the system design.

  • Develops, maintains and modifies structural and interior payload system and component designs, using 3-D Computer Aided Design tools and/or other design methods, to provide product definition to other engineering groups, production operations, suppliers and external customers throughout the product lifecycle.

  • Performs, integrates analytical and test results to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications.

  • Manages supplier development, test and production activities and coordinates with the supplier to optimize the design and achieve program goals.

  • Develops new design/analysis processes and tools to improve the effectiveness, quality and efficiency of the development effort.

  • Investigates emerging technologies to develop concepts for future product designs to meet projected requirements.

  • Develops new materials, methods, tools, and designs to support future programs.

  • Leads a team of design engineers and provide coaching across all levels.

  • Works under minimal direction.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree or higher from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.

  • 3+ years engineering work experience.

  • Full understanding of principles and vision of immediate work and common understanding of work of the neighboring teams or disciplines. Widely uses Aircrafts design principles, documentation standards and processes for the development of smaller components or parts of major systems.

  • Performs complete general layouts of engineering design. Skills to make analysis of static, dynamic and heat loads operating in air-conditioning system appliances.

  • Manages processes, methods and technologies.

  • Able to work collaboratively with multi-functional team and work flexible hours to meet the business needs.

  • Solid communicator, intermediate level or higher in both written and verbal English.

  • Readiness to provide weekend/holiday support when needed.

  • Existing rights to work in Poland.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experienced in reading and understanding engineering models, drawings, specifications and various technical documentation.

  • Ability to evaluate complex vehicles and systems from a multitude of perspectives.

  • Boeing design, production, and build processes, design concepts and techniques.

  • Producibility and process improvement methodologies (6-Sigma etc.).

  • Ability to communicate with technical personnel from multiple skill areas.

  • Familiarity with various engineering disciplines such as electrical, mechanical, and systems.

  • Familiarity with responsibilities and tasks performed by various Engineering departments/disciplines as well as interaction between departments/disciplines.

  • Experienced in researching engineering designs in order to develop defect solutions to product/ process issues for production or simple technical in-service issues.

  • Experience/Familiarity with structural design principles for aircraft primary structures (e.g. corrosion, stress analysis, statics, materials strength, material characteristics, and repair techniques).
