Lifting Requirements:
- Ability to participate in physical activity.
- Ability to work for extended periods of time while standing and
being involved in physical activity.
- Ability to perform various patient positioning and transporting
duties, which require lifting and pushing/pulling, while utilizing
proper technique.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to do extensive bending, lifting, and standing on a regular
basis.
Responsibilities:
Personal Support Specialists (PSS):
- Provide hands-on assistance with daily living.
- Provide services related to a member\'s physical requirements for
assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and Instrumental
Activities of Daily Living (IADLs).
- Follow the clients authorized plan of care provided.
- Record and report changes in the clients physical condition,
behavior or appearance to supervisor.
- Documenting services delivered.
Certified Nursing Aide (CNA):
- Performs basic assessments, collects data, identifies problems, and
follows a care plan developed by the Director of Nursing.
- Provide services related to a member\'s physical requirements for
assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and Instrumental
Activities of Daily Living (IADLs).
- Communicates any problems and documents the plan and actions taken
in the patient\'s visit report.
- Participates in chart audits, continuous quality Improvement
activities and in services as required. Records observations
completely, accurately, legibly, and concisely.
- Documents all information regarding the patients.
- Maintains and updates accurate c inical and patient records
according to agency, state, and federal guidelines.
- Communicates effectively with patients, family, or significant
others and provides them with necessary emotional support
- Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a registered
nurse or licensed practical nurse.
- Assist with medication administration and record keeping.
- Help residents with activities of daily living, such as bathing,
dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and report changes in residents\' physical and mental health
status.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and safe environment for residents.
- Follow established protocols and procedures for resident care.
- Support residents\' rights and maintain confidentiality of resident
information.
