Robert Half Full Charge Bookkeeper in Sacramento, California

Description We are in search of a Full Charge Bookkeeper to join our CPA firm based in Sacramento, California. This role is pivotal in maintaining our company's financial records, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments. The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic work environment where they will be responsible for all general accounting and bookkeeping functions, including the preparation of financial statements and report preparation.

Responsibilities:

• Manage all aspects of bookkeeping for the firm, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations, laws, and standards.

• Utilize various accounting software systems to record, store, and analyze information.

• Conduct bank reconciliations promptly and accurately.

• Carry out accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including invoice processing, monthly statement reconciliation, and sales and purchase ledger processing.

• Perform account reconciliation tasks in a timely manner.

• Prepare financial documents such as invoices, bills, and accounts payable and receivable.

• Conduct preparation of payroll, property, and sales tax returns.

• Handle year-end 1099 and W-2 reporting tasks.

• Utilize Microsoft Office Suites, specifically Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Outlook for various tasks.

• Work collaboratively with the team to achieve shared goals and contribute to the smooth functioning of the accounting department. Requirements

• Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience as a Full Charge Bookkeeper

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is required

• Experience with ADP - Financial Services is necessary

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office Suites, and Microsoft Outlook is required

• Must be well-versed in handling Accounting Functions

• Experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) is necessary

• Must be proficient in performing Bank Reconciliations

• Experience in handling Billing Functions is required

• Excellent communication and organizational skills are required

• Must have the ability to work independently and meet deadlines

• Familiarity with tax preparation and auditing is desirable

• A strong understanding of financial reporting is necessary.
