Universal Health Services Group Clinician - Social Services in SACRAMENTO, California

Responsibilities

We are looking for Licensed Group Clinicians to join our Social Services Team. $5,000 sign-on bonus!

The Group Clinician is responsible for overseeing the curriculum presented in therapeutic groups throughout the hospital facilitated by the social services and recreational therapy department. In addition to facilitating groups and providing active treatment, the Group Clinician also assists the director with programming modifications and clinical staff meetings. In addition, the Group Clinician performs social services functions to include a full biopsychosocial assessment, individualized treatment plan, brief consultation for patients and families preparing for discharge and the development of a safe discharge plan including referrals for continued treatment and housing when appropriate. The social services group clinician also provides therapeutic group based interventions and crisis interventions to assist the patient in achieving his/her optimal level of emotional health.

Qualifications

Qualifications :

Education: Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Social Work or Marriage and Family Therapy, or related discipline. Prefer incumbent to be licensed, license-eligible, or registered with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences.

Experience: Social Worker requires a minimum of one (1) year experience in a psychiatric health care facility, with direct experience in family and group therapies, crisis intervention, and treatment skills; must have strong clinical assessment skills.

Licensure: LCSW, LMFT, license-eligible, or registered with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences preferred.

Additional Requirements: Handle With Care training within 30 days of employment and prior to assisting in a restraining procedure. Must be able to pass a department competency exam upon hire. May be required to work flexible hours and overtime.
