Purpose of this role:

The Production Manager is the front lead for multiple teams comprised of Electrical and Mechanical assemblers for light rail vehicles, locomotives, and/or passenger coaches to meet project requirements for quality, schedule, and cost. In this critical role, you will be managing supervisors on multiple shifts with a total of up to 200 assemblers.

A successful candidate for this position is hands-on and positive minded people leader. A leader who embraces change and is passionate about manufacturing were paying attention to details and organization is critical for success.

What your day will look like:

  • Drive Zero Harm @ Siemens by ensuring a safe and healthy work environment. Ensure all Team Members are trained in, and observe, safe work practices.

  • Establish, monitor, and adjust manpower and applicable equipment planning to meet production demands.

  • Meet project targets for direct labor hours, schedule, and quality.

  • Develop, monitor, and meet department budgets and business plans.

  • Establish priorities and ensure all team members are properly trained for their assigned tasks.

  • Ensure positive communication with entire team on a regular basis to keep them informed of work status, department performance, process changes, and company policies.

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, and stake holder others to ensure mutual success.

  • Ability to lead and motivate a direct labor workforce.

  • Strong analytical, communication and leadership skills

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent experience of at least 8-10 years in industrial electrical and mechanical assembly production and fabrication operations.

  • At least 5 years’ experience in manufacturing operations, in a schedule driven, high mix/low volume, engineer-to-order, project environment.

  • Proven strong analytical, communication and leadership skills.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and SAP functionalities.

Salary: $118,100-159,600. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, and qualifications.
