TEKsystems is helping a company in SW Michigan identify a Network Administrator to join their team on a direct hire basis.
Responsibilities for this position include daily administration of the network and server environment, and monitoring of the environment to ensure a secure and protected environment.
The position will also be expected to design, propose, and implement, various networking projects, and ensure network security, endpoint security, application security, and data security.
Quickly diagnose and offer solutions to support desk staff as required.
The administrator should also have a solid networking foundation and understanding of how it affects the business environment.
Completing tasks of varying complexity with minimal oversight, while producing detailed documentation of procedures and processes.
Position Responsibilities:
Assists with the daily administration of a network/server environment
Installing, administering, and troubleshooting network, endpoint, and application security solutions
Performs routine updates and maintenance tasks
Responsible for the maintenance, and development of technical documentation
Updating software with the latest security patches and ensuring the proper defenses are present for each network resource.
Work on projects of various complexity in a lead or support capacity.
Performing vulnerability and penetration tests, identifying and defending against threats, and developing/testing disaster recovery plans
Configuring and supporting security tools, such as vulnerability scanners, firewalls, antivirus software, etc.
Consulting with staff and management about the best security practices and providing technical advice
