Primary Duties:
Receives and moves raw materials, parts, and packing materials to prescribed departments and locations.
Performs incoming inspection functions, when applicable and necessary.
Primary Tasks:
Assists in training of new employees in warehouse activities
Operates and services power forklift trucks
Uses Hand trucks and other equipment
May operate banding and wrapping equipment as required
Receives and unloads truck of incoming material
May count, weight, and record
Verify and record counts of incoming and outgoing material in BES system and report discrepancies to supervision
Sign bills of lading on incoming material
Load miscellaneous materials to trucks, such as scrap, empty drums, materials for other plants
Follows incoming inspection procedures manual of specific materials to select, examine and record condition of samples
Has knowledge of product specifications
Reports to supervision when substandard samples are found
May handle empty skids, pallets and miscellaneous dunnage and stack or store as required
Keep work area clean and orderly- 5S
Wires mixed batteries and wet IBT's received that require boosting and return to stock
Supplies production line with supplies when necessary
Moves miscellaneous scrap materials ot of production areas to warehouse or yard
Keeps warehouse and yard storage orderly to use available space wsely
Perform daily production cycle counts as directed by supervissor
Reports shortages of material of any kind and may be required to take inventory of material at periodic intervals as directed
May direct work of others temporarily assigned tp receiving and storing functions
