Description We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Clerk in the wholesale distribution industry, based in Saint Louis, Missouri. As part of our team, you will be tasked with meticulous invoice processing, data rectification, and purchase order matching.
Responsibilities:
• Handle the accurate and prompt processing of customer credit applications.
• Review and process invoices, ensuring their precision and adherence to company procedures.
• Identify and correct any discrepancies in invoice header level data.
• Efficiently match invoices to purchase orders, ensuring accuracy in records.
• Handle duplicate invoices as flagged by the system and process them accordingly.
• Maintain comprehensive and accurate records of customer credit.
• Provide additional administrative support as needed to bolster the accounts payable function.
• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate actions based on their status. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) is necessary, as the role primarily involves managing and processing accounts payable transactions.
• Strong data entry skills are required, given the need to input financial information accurately and efficiently into our systems.
• Ability to perform numeric data entry is crucial, as the job entails dealing with numerical data and financial figures.
• Experience in performing data entry tasks is essential, as the role involves a significant amount of data entry work.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is necessary, given its extensive use in financial data management and reporting in this role.
