Job Description
Assisting with equipment installations and maintenance as required.
Assist with the assembly of equipment and inspect for proper operation, uncrating, and moving of equipment into position.
Driving service and delivery truck to the intended destination to deliver or pick up equipment with the use of a lift-gate.
Assist other office employees and Service Technicians as required.
Work hours as needed.
Training other technicians in knowledge and skills required to perform their job
Complete ongoing training in the areas of job safety, equipment knowledge, technical skills, etc.
Pick up and deliver parts to job locations as required.
Other job-related duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications
High School diploma/GED or related experience
Driver's license in good standing and can meet insurance requirements
0-1 year experience in related field.
Certified to operate a forklift (the company will certify you if necessary
Pass a DOT physical where required Knowledge
Basic Knowledge of welding, hydraulics and/or electrical skills
Understand how to troubleshoot mechanical problems
Basic plumbing and soldering knowledge
Basic knowledge of electrical
Basic knowledge of moving tools and equipment Skills/Abilities
Ability to work with mechanical/electrical equipment within all company safety guidelines
Ability to operate pallet jack
Experience driving or ability to drive rack truck and 24-26 foot box truck with Tommy Gate operation
Customer service skills- resolving customer issues, ensuring appropriate communication with customers and following up on customer requests
Ability to think on your feet and troubleshoot unexpected situations
Ability to manage expense reports and travel budgets.
Ability to work well independently and in teams
Preferred Qualifications/Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Class B CDL license
Experience working with commercial kitchen equipment
Skilled with hand and power tools
Physical Requirements/Environment:
Able to up to 50-75 lbs with or without assistance
Able to climb up to 8 ft with ladder. Working on roofs of building will be required
Extensive driving up to 8-10 hours/day may be required
Kneeling, squatting, bending, pushing/pulling required
Exposure to noise, heat, cold, slippery, wet conditions
Required Availability
You will travel out-of-town with overnight stays 2-3 consecutive nights per week, primarily mid- week. Schedule is set well in advance
Will rarely travel on a Sunday for projects that begin on a Monday. Schedule is set well in advance
Will perform work during evening and overnight hours due to customer requirements
